To Kill a Mockingbird Webquest

Process

Day One:

1. Identify each group member's role through consensus. One group member should research the role of women and children, one member will research the Scottsboro Boys Trial, one member will research the Jim Crow Era, and one member will research the Great Depression.

2. Each group member will do individual research on his/her chosen topic. Use the following websites as resources, but feel free to do your own research as well:

3. Since you cannot print out pages of information about your chosen topic, you should be taking notes based on the information you find on your websites.

Day Two:

4. You will meet as a group and teach your group members what you learned. You will begin a poster project compiling all of your information about the role of women and children, the Great Depression, the Jim Crow Laws, and the Scottsboro Boys Trial. Your poster should have written information and pictures/photos (the pictures can be printed from the internet). You should give an overview of your topic and important points about it. Make sure to include visuals!

Day Three:

5. You will have the first half of Day Three to work on your poster projects in class. On the second half of Day 3 each group will be presenting their findings to the class.

6. After you present to the class, be sure to hand in your poster.
